Area 41 Guide
Find 10 graves and 3 Always Late music disc fragments, solve the symbol puzzle for the Anti-Gravity Falls Joker, and locate the eastern trainwreck. Use the maps and landmark notes below.
Area 41 Grave Locations
Match the 10 numbered locations with the notes below. The flooded shack, cave exit, upper tower and ravine floor need different approaches, even when their map positions are close. The numbers identify locations rather than a required collection order.
1 Western flooded shack
On the western shore, look under the corrugated metal roof of the small shack. The grave is submerged in the water beneath it, so move close to the roof rather than searching the dry ground around the building.
2 Ship prow above the flooded shack
Look up from grave 1 toward the wrecked ship on the neighboring cliff. Climb the slope, then cross the wooden frames to reach the grave on the tip of the ship.
3 Shipwreck beyond the western cave
Follow the west coast south until you reach the cave entrance. Go through the cave and out the far side, then search inside the shipwreck beyond the exit for the blue grave.
4 Tall wooden tower
Use the cliff paths and ascending ziplines to reach the tall wooden tower in the southern half of the map. The grave is in the small wooden shelter on its upper platform, above the surrounding shacks.
5 Shack east of the tower
Descend east from the tower to the nearby shack. A row of bottles lines the doorway and crates are stacked inside. Search the back corner of the room for the grave.
6 Gulch below the satellite dish
Continue east from the shack using the ziplines toward the large satellite dish. Drop into the gulch between the cliffs and look along the lower rock wall; the grave is below the upper dish route.
7 Under the wooden bridge
Stay on the ravine floor and follow the cliff edge from grave 6. Look at the foot of the two wooden support legs beneath the bridge for the next grave.
8 Behind the piano
Head northeast from the bridge supports and use a zipline to go up one level. Find the group of chairs facing a piano, then check directly behind the instrument for the grave.
9 Northeastern tire swamp
Go northeast to the tire dumping ground. The grave stands on a small outcrop in the shallow swamp water among the discarded tires.
10 Northern cliff-edge shack
Take the zipline ascending the cliff west of grave 9. Continue west to the narrow wooden path around the outside of the cliff. Follow it to the small shack at the end and search inside.
Area 41 Music Disc Locations: Always Late
Collect the 3 fragments to unlock Always Late for the lobby. You can collect disc fragments across multiple runs. Use the three white circular disc symbols on the reference map, then follow D1–D3 below.
D1 North-central house
At the northern white disc circle, find the house slightly north of the map center. Go inside and check the tops of the barrels for an Always Late fragment.
D2 Southwestern raised platform
At the southwestern white circle, climb up from the shoreline to the raised structure. Look for the record player and the barrel beside it; the fragment lies by that barrel.
D3 Southern hut
Use the southern white circle to find the small house toward the southeastern shore. Go inside the hut and search its interior for the fragment.
Area 41 Code: Read the Symbols in Dot Order
Use this picture as a reference example. The dot counts, from one to four, tell you which symbol goes in each dial from left to right. If the pictured symbols do not match your clues, follow the four purple-rock locations below and enter your own symbols in dot order.
Where to Find the Area 41 Symbol Puzzle
The four-dial lock sits by the southern border. Read its nearby clue, gather the four region symbols if needed, then return here to unlock the Anti-Gravity Falls Joker.
P Southern symbol lock
Head to the southwestern ridge along the southern border. Find the large rock with four rotating symbol dials on its south side and a button beside them. Interact with the nearby clue rock to read the hint pointing to Far West, Desert, Canyon and Woodlands.
Where to Find the Four Purple Symbol Rocks
The clue points to Far West, Desert, Canyon and Woodlands. Visit them in any order; copy each symbol and its dots. The dot count sets the dial position, rather than the order of this list.
Step 1
Far West: In the southern to southwestern part of Far West, look for the purple glowing stacked rock in the cornfield near the river.
Step 2
Desert: Go to the small peninsula at the southern tip of Desert and find the purple glowing stacked rock. Watch for the nearby Marauder camp.
Step 3
Canyon: Search the westernmost side of Canyon for the purple glowing stacked rock surrounded by a ring of cacti.
Step 4
Woodlands: Find the purple glowing stacked rock in the open grassy clearing on the eastern to northeastern side of Woodlands. Trees can hide its glow from farther away.
How to Solve the Area 41 Symbol Puzzle
Use the dot counts to order the four symbols, then confirm the completed sequence at the southern lock.
Step 1
Visit the southern symbol lock and read the nearby clue rock. It points to Far West, Desert, Canyon and Woodlands.
Step 2
If you need to check the code, visit the four regions' purple glowing rocks in any order and record each symbol with its dots. A screenshot keeps the glyph's orientation and dot count together.
Step 3
Return to Area 41 and set the four dials from left to right: the one-dot symbol, then two dots, three dots and four dots. Turn each dial until the correct face points forward.
Step 4
Press the button beside the dials. The Secret completed message confirms the finish and awards the Anti-Gravity Falls Joker. If it does not complete, compare all four front-facing symbols with your clues and check their dot order.
How to Unlock Area 41
Finish The Great Marauder Secret questline. Begin with Dr. Spark-Twist in Desert.
Step 1
In Desert, accept Fighting Spy from Dr. Spark-Twist. Clear the two marked Marauder camps and collect both intel items, then finish your main mission and extract.
Step 2
Return to Desert for Mass Surveillance. Clear the marked camp, enter the antenna code supplied by Dr. Spark-Twist and defend it while it activates.
Step 3
Finish the main mission and extract again. Completing the questline unlocks Area 41 on the mission selection map.
Area 41 Trainwreck Location
Find the eastern crash and complete its black-box task. For Far Far North, complete the trainwreck quest in each of the three regions. The regions are Far West, Canyon, Area 41.
T Eastern crash and Railroad Worker
Go to the eastern side of Area 41 and look for the crashed train near giant bones and spiky rocks. Follow the smoke to the wreck, then speak to the Railroad Worker beside it to start the black-box objective.
Complete the Area 41 Black-Box Task
Keep up with the green download zone, then complete the run and extract.
Step 1
Find the eastern crash at T and speak to the Railroad Worker.
Step 2
Start the black-box objective and stay inside the moving green download zone. Follow it when it moves and defend yourself until progress reaches 100%.
Step 3
Finish the main mission and extract so the objective counts.
